CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Children with special needs are made to feel welcome at the nursery. We try to make adjustments to the environment if necessary but it is to be noted that we do not have front steps and stairs to the first floor which houses children over 2 years. Previous difficulties with stairs have been overcome with the help of staff who are always willing to be of service.

SECURITY

The safety and security of children is obviously of prime concern to parents. We would wish to reassure parents that it has always been an issue of the greatest importance to us. The front door is unopenable from the outside(without a key) and is always opened by a member of staff. Children can only be collected by parents or persons nominated by the parents and we must be informed of such arrangements prior to their arrival.

We are careful to record who is to collect the children, who actually collected them and at what time.

We have an enclosed rear garden and a front play area which is surrounded by high railings. The front gate is always padlocked when the children are playing at the front.

When trips are organised you will be asked to sign a written permission slip. We follow sensible guidelines and have a high staff ratio.

PAYMENT 

A list of current charges is available. Fees are payable in advance(weekly). There is no charge at Xmas when the nursery closes for one week. Other than that fees are due every week as normal whether your child is absent or in attendance. Please note, we are open on bank holidays(for a minimum of 3 children) and usual charges apply.
