The former caretaker's house at Arnot Street Primary School is the location for Rainbow House Nursery II. The building is a fine and solid example of Victorian architecture at it's best. The rooms are large and well lit by numerous windows. Situated at the front of the premises, is a large outdoor play area, whilst an enclosed garden is featured at the rear.

This nursery was opened in opened in November '94 having moved from the original Walton Hospital site which was established in January '89.

The proprietor and Company director Mrs Alison McKenna has a background of primary school teaching in England and overseas. A family woman with 5 children and a keen interest in quality childcare Mrs McKenna opened the first work based  private nursery in Liverpool. Now with responsibilities for general nursery management she employs a dedicated Officer In Charge and qualified team of nursery nurses.
